Sibick was accused of robbing MPD officer Michael Fanone of his badge and radio. However, new video evidence referenced in court document #66 above refutes this, stating his contact with the officer was ‘very brief’ due to the movement of the officer and press of bodies in the crowd.
It is not clear if Sibick entered the Capitol. A interview between Sibick and the FBI transpired after January 6th, and Sibick’s story changed a number of times.

Sibick was arrested on 3/12/21 and ordered detained pending trial on 3/17/21. Sibick plead not guilty to counts 1,3,4,6,8-13 of the indictment on 4/21/21. Using new evidence from a sealed video the defense petitioned to be unsealed, Sibick was ordered released at a bond hearing 10/26/21. On 3/3/2023, Sibick entered a pea of guilty to Counts 1, 2, and 3 of the Second Filing of Information (doc #186). Sentencing held on 7/28/2023, sentenced to 50 months incarceration as to Count 1, sentenced to 50 months incarceration as to Count 2, and sentenced to 12 months incarceration as to Count 3. All terms to run concurrently and followed by 36 months Supervised Release. Special Assessment in the total amount of $225. Restitution for the entire case in the amount of $7,500.79 was ordered. Oral Motion by the Government to dismiss all remaining Counts was granted.
