Christopher Worrell

Although Christopher Worrell denied entering the Capitol, he assault a line of law enforcement officers with pepper spray gel outside the U.S. Capitol building during the riot in Washington D.C. on Jan. 6, according to the prosecution.  Worrell remains detained, however his defense states that because of his past medical history, he is not only at high risk for Covid but also being deprived of his daily medical treatment regiment.

Please keep in mind that in the United States, every citizen charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Case Status

Arrested on 3/12/2021. Indicted 4/9/21 and arraigned 4/15/21 where he pleaded not guilty to all counts. During a hearing on 10/13/21, the DC Department of Corrections director and DC jail warden appeared. The judge determined they were in contempt of court for failure to follow a court order (See Document #106 below.) Another hearing was held on 11/3/21 with the DC Department of Corrections present. Worrell was ordered released w/ GPS monitoring. Next Status Conference set for 6/17/2022 at 12:30 PM by VTC before Judge Royce C. Lamberth.

Prison Name

According to court document #126 above, Worrell has been released from DC jail. He is subject to home confinement and GPS monitoring. He is not permitted to access the Internet, email, or social media, with the exception of communication with his lawyer.

Chris has cancer and was denied specific medication and treatment while in prison. This attracted the judge's attention, and he called for a civil rights investigation. The investigation could impact the transport of others to this site.
