Capitol surveillance shows Rondon inside the Capitol with his mother on Jan .6th. He entered the Speaker of the House’s conference room and allegedly touched a laptop there. The Rondons were inside the building for less than 20 minutes.

Rafael Rondon was arrested on 10/1/21. He appeared in court on 10/14/21, was released on personal recognizance on the same day. During a preliminary hearing/arraignment on 12/14/21, Rondon plead not guilty to all charges. A plea agreement hearing was held on 12/5/2022, Rondon entered a plea of guilty on Count 1. Judgement filed 12/14/2023, Rafael Rondon was ordered to serve 5 years of Probation, Special Assessment of $100 and Restitution in the amount of $2,000. All remaining Counts dismissed on Oral Motion by the Government.
