Nicholas Ochs

According to interviews he has given the media, OCHS is the leader and founder of the Hawaii chapter of the “Proud Boys” organization.  He claims to have just “walked in and filmed”, working as a “professional journalist”.  Though he is seen smoking a cigarette inside the U.S Capitol with DeCarlo, there is no evidence of any physical violence committed by Ochs.

Case Status

Complaint filed 1/7/21. Initial Appearance took place on 1/27/21. Indicted 2/4. Arraigned 2/12 and pleaded not guilty to all counts. Defendant remains on personal recognizance. First superseding indictment filed 2/18/22. Ochs plead not guilty to all counts on 2/25/22. On 9/9/22, he plead guilty to count 2. On 12/9, he was sentenced to 48 months imprisonment followed by 36 months of supervised release. He was ordered to pay to the Clerk of Court for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia a special assessment in the amount of $100.00, a fine of $5,000.00, and restitution in the amount of $2,000.00.
