Kevin Seefried

According to video footage from the U.S. Capitol, the defendants, Kevin Seefried and
Hunter Seefried entered the Senate Building through a broken window at approximately 2:13 p.m.
on January 6, 2021. Shortly thereafter, Defendant Kevin Seefried was photographed holding a
Confederate Battle flag inside the Capitol Building.  Both Kevin and his son climbed through a window to enter the building.

Obstruction of an Official Proceeding and Aiding and Abetting (1) Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds (2) Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building or Grounds (3) Disorderly Conduct in a Capitol Building (4) Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building (5)

Case Status

Arrested 1/25/21- placed on personal recognizance the same day. Superseding Indictment filed 4/27/22. Arraigned 5/20/22-entered a plea of not guilty as to all counts. On 6/15/22, a bench trial took place and Seefried was found guilty of counts 1-5 of the Superseding Indictment. Sentencing held on 2/9/2023, sentenced to 36 months incarceration on Count 1, sentenced to 12 months incarceration on each Counts 2 and 3, sentenced to 6 months incarceration on each Counts 4 and 5. All terms to run concurrently and followed by 12 months of probation Total Special Assessment of $170 imposed. Restitution in the amount of $2,000.00.
