Daniel Page Adams traveled to Washington, DC with his cousin, Cody Carter Connell. He filmed and messaged others regarding the events at the Capitol. Adams documents himself and others being tear gassed, and says someone near him was clubbed by police and shot with rubber bullets.
His film records him encouraging others in the crowd to move forward. Adams allegedly walked up the Capitol steps and engaged in a struggle with police officers. However, no further evidence of this is documented in the government’s statement of facts.

Arrested 1/16/21 in the Eastern District of Texas. Indicted 2/5 and arraigned 2/12/21 where he pleaded not guilty to all counts. On 04/09/21, conditions of release were set. He plead not guilty to all counts on 06/02/21, and on 12/03/21. Third Superseding Indictment issued 7/27/23. He was found guilty of al counts during a stipulated bench trial on 7/28/23. This sentencing has been put on hold until the Supreme Court resolves Fischer vs United States.
