Sean David Watson

Watson entered the Capitol Building through the Senate Wing Door at approximately 2:47 PM on January 6th.  He is seen walking through the Crypt area with a flag and exited the building around 3:22 PM.  There is no detail of any violence committed by Watson.

Please keep in mind that in the United States, every citizen charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Knowingly Entering or Remaining in any Restricted Building or Grounds Without Lawful Authority (1) Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building or Grounds (2) Violent Entry and Disorderly Conduct and Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building (3) Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building (4)

Case Status

Sean Watson was arrested on 4/28/21 and had his initial appearance in court on 4/30/21. He was released on conditions on 5/10/21. He entered a plea of not guilty as to all counts on 6/24/21. On 4/21/22, he entered a plea of guilty as to Count 4. On 9/6/22, he was sentenced to 7 days in prison and 24 months of probation.
