Nicholas Languerand

Languerand is pictured throwing stick like objects and a traffic barrier at U.S Capitol Police just outside of the Capitol Building.  He is also seen holding a Capitol Police riot shield, however he is holding it up in a protective manner as a big flash (coming from USCP) is also seen in the picture.  There is no further detail of any violence committed by Languerand.

Case Status

Arrested 4/15/21. Indicted 5/12/21. Initial appearance and arraignment held 5/24/21. Pleaded not guilty to all charges. Nicholas Languerand plead guilty to count 2 on 11/3/21. He was sentenced on 1/26/22 to 24 months of supervised release, a special assessment of $100, and restitution in the amount of $2,000.
