Matthew Capsel

Capsel took Tik Tok videos of himself right outside of the Capitol Building.  It is unclear if he entered the building.  After the event, at around 6:23 PM. he is seen in a Tik Tok video getting into a physical altercation with National Guardsmen until getting pepper sprayed.

Arrested 1/26/21. Initial appearance 2/4/21. Defendant placed on personal recognizance with a curfew. On 5/11/22, he plead not guilty to all counts. On 9/2/22, he plead guilty to count 1. Sentencing occurred on 12/16/2022 at 4pm.
