Jerod Bargar

Bargar is alleged to have brought a firearm to the Capitol. It fell on the ground and a police officer spotted it outside. He supposedly posted on Facebook that he was near Ashli Babbitt when she was shot.

Case Status

Jerod Bargar was arrested on 8/4/22 and appeared in court on 8/11. He waived his right to a preliminary hearing. Indicted 3/10/23. On 4/10/23, he plead not guilty to all charges. On 6/8/23, he plead guilty to all charges. Sentencing occurs on 11/3/23 at 2pm in Courtroom 16.
