Bernard Joseph Sirr

Sirr appeared in the Tunnel near where Roseanne Boyland was eventually killed by police. He is accused of moving his way towards those in the front of the police line, pushing them as the chant “Heave, ho” is heard around him.

Case Status

Sirr was arrested on 6/29/22. He appeared in court on 7/7 and was ordered released on personal recognizance. Indicted 7/27. On 7/28, he plead not guilty to all charges filed on a new indictment including fellow J6 defendant Luke Lints. On 1/27/23, a plea agreement was filed for Sirr that includes a guilty plea as to count 1. On 5/23/23, he was sentenced to 2 months in prison, followed by 1 year of probation. Six months of the probation will include home detention. In addition, Sirr was ordered pay a $100 special assessment and $2,000 in restitution.
