Albert A. Ciarpelli

Ciarpelli attended the rally alone for approximately 2-3 hours. He was seen on surveillance taking pictures inside the Capitol and told law enforcement this was his first time there. When decided to leave after 15 minutes. he became caught in the crowd.  According to written reports, he did not engage in violent activity.

Please keep in mind that in the United States, every citizen charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Case Status

Ciarpelli was arrested on 1/14/21 and released after an initial hearing held on 1/25/21. He was indicted on 11/14/23. An arraignment/plea agreement hearing is scheduled for 1/4/24 at 1pm virtually.
