Thomas Patrick Hamner

Hamner and others are accused of pushing a sign towards a line of police. Police in this area were harming civilians.

Hamner is also seen taking a photo of police, possibly recording his name and badge #.

Assaulting, Resisting, or Impeding Certain Officers Using a Dangerous Weapon and Aiding and Abetting (1) Civil Disorder and Aiding and Abetting (2) Civil Disorder and Aiding and Abetting (3) Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds (4) Engaging in Physical Violence in a Restricted Building or Grounds with a Deadly or Dangerous Weapon (5) Act of Physical Violence in the Capitol Grounds or Buildings (6)

Case Status

Hamner was arrested on 11/9/21. He appeared in court on 11/21/21. On 1/21/22, he entered a not guilty plea as to all counts. O 5/17/22, he entered a guilty plea as to count 2 of the indictment. Sentencing held on 9/23/22, sentenced to 30 months incarceration with credit for time served. In addition, he was ordered to 36 months of supervised release. The court required him to pay a $100 special assessment and $2,000 restitution. As of July 2023, there is a further Status Conference set to decide how the Court wishes to proceed with the remaining Counts.
