Baquero and codefendant Louis Valentin entered the Capitol rotunda and remained in the building between 15-25 minutes. He said he took several photos and claims police helped him exit.
There is no evidence he engaged in violence, although he is accused of shouting and pointing at officers.

Baquero was arrested on 11/10/21. Indictment issued 12/1. During an arraignment on 12/8, he plead not guilty. On 2/16/23, Baquero plead guilty to count 1. On 5/22/23, Baquero was sentenced to 18 months incarceration, followed by 12 months probation. He was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment and restitution in the amount of $2,000.
