Case Status
Liu was arrested on 10/29/21. He pleaded not guilty to all counts and was released on 11/4/21. His last status conferences took place on 2/17/22 and 4/12/22. On 2/23, he became subject to home detention and location monitoring as it pertains to involvement in another legal matter (documented by #18 and #21 below.) On 10/20/22, he plead guilty to count 1. On 6/15/23, he was sentenced to 4 months in prison, that will run consecutively to any other sentence imposed by the Court in New York for another pending legal matter. He was also ordered to 12 months probation, payment of a $25 special assessment, and payment of $500 restitution. He was ordered by DC District Court to self-surrender by 9/14/23.
