J6er Chris O’Neill Introduces the ‘J6 in Defence of Democracy Medal’ for His Fellow J6 Compatriots

After an absence of over four and half years J6er Chris O’Neill has returned to the United States.

Chris was present at the protest at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. He was successful in leaving the United States before the FBI came to his home. The DOJ later tried to extradite him from Poland to the United States, but Chris won his case.

He was fortunate. He did not suffer like his compatriots did in the U.S., most of whom went through terrible experiences, which included imprisonment, torture, the loss of jobs, homes, money and family relationships. He was not, however, able to be with his loved ones during their final life stages, including with his mother and beloved aunt – nor could he attend their funerals or that of several other close relations and friends. Even now, having returned to the U.S. for the first time, family members have closed their doors to him. Standing up for one’s values often comes at a price.

While in Poland, Chris wanted to do something for J6ers. Chris had previous experience in Poland when, as young man there in the 1980s he participated in the anti-communist underground opposition. For this activity, he was later granted official anti-communist activist status and twice decorated with some of that country’s highest awards.

This led him to the idea of creating a medal to honor the participants of the “J6 Defense of Democracy Protest.” He founded the Association for the Defense of Democracy, which he first registered in Poland (it would have been problematic in the States during the Biden administration) and then, when President Trump became president in 2024, in the United States.

The intention is to award each participant in the J6 protest such a medal.

It is in the form of a pin and is the exact size and shape of the Polish anti-communist activist medal. The design, however, is unique and copyrighted. The first recipients to receive the medals are to be the 1,500 or so Americans imprisoned or otherwise persecuted by the Biden regime and then to the others present – of which there may have been several hundred thousand.

By providing J6ers with these medals, Chris wants them to them know how much they are appreciated. He also wants to counteract the false narrative that J6 was an attack on democracy, it was just the opposite, it was the defense of democracy.

The People that day had the right to question the results of the 2020 election. There is often fraud in elections but this time, thanks to Covid, mail-in voting and unscrupulous Democrats, a perfect storm of fraud was created, enough for many Americans, including those at the “Defense of Democracy Protest” on January 6th to question the results and request an investigation.

He was at the front of the protest and saw how the huge crowd stood behind the flimsy bike-rack barriers until they were fired upon by the Capitol Police – fired on with rubber bullets, gas and bang munitions. Only then did the crowd of diverse Americans – black, white, Asian and Latino, from all walks of life, move forward. It was they who shouted: “Whose House is This? It is the People’s House!” Indeed, it is the People’s House and on that day the People spoke.

You can show your appreciation for those that stood up for democracy and for our Republic on January 6 and who have have suffered greatly because of it – by being part of this project. Up to now, Chris has covered all costs himself. You can become involved by helping to defray costs by donating using the information on the following website: https://www.in-defense-of-democracy.org/contact-and-support/

In early December, Chris will be officially welcomed home by the Conservative Caucus of Delaware. During the event, medals will be awarded to local J6ers.
