Gregory Lamar Nix

Capitol surveillance shows Nix entering the building, speaking on a cell phone. He is accused of attempting to open the East House doors by banging a flagpole against them. In addition, he is accused of engaging a Capitol Police officer standing near the area. He allegedly brought a black baton with him inside of the Capitol.

Case Status

Nix was arrested on 11/10/21. On 11/23, he appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to all charges. Nix was released on personal recognizance. His next status conference takes place on 9/9/22. Both parties were directed to provide a motions schedule and three proposed trial dates.
