Douglas Austin Jensen

When apprehended inside the Capitol and ordered by police to put his hands up, Jensen led the crowd toward an officer, forcing him to retreat. He chased the officer up a staircase until apprehended.

Knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority (1) disrupting the orderly conduct of government business (2) violent entry and disorderly conduct in a Capitol building (3) parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building (4) obstructing a law enforcement officer during a civil disorder (5)

Case Status

Jensen self-surrendered and was indicted on 1/11/21. He has pleaded not guilty on multiple occasions throughout this case. Jury Selection/Trial set to commence on 9/19/2022 at 9:00 AM in Courtroom 11 before Judge Timothy J. Kelly. Remains committed.
