Social media photos and posts show Phipps was present at the Capitol on Jan. 6th.

He was walking with an American flag over his shoulder and shared his opinions on the Internet. No evidence suggests he engaged in violent actions.

Case Status

Daniel Phipps was arrested on 1/26. He pleaded not guilty to all counts on 4/27. On 02/13/2021, he was released on personal recognizance. He entered a plea of not guilty to all counts on 2/19/21, 4/27/21, and on 2/2/2022 (doc #26 - 2nd Superseding Indictment). A jury trial is scheduled to begin 8/11/23 at 9am in Courtroom 17.
