Case Status

Owens was arrested on 4/1/21. He had his initial appearance the same afternoon in Orlando. Owens plead not guilty to counts 1-6 on 4/7/21. Superseding indictment issued 11/21/21. He plead not guilty to all counts again on 12/3/21. On 11/10/22, he plead guilty to counts 2 and 13s. On 6/23/23, Owens was sentenced to 37 months in prison, 24 months of probation, and payment of a $110 special assessment, $1,000 fine, and $2,000 restitution. The Court recommended he participate in the Federal Prisons Industries Program and the Bureau of Prisons' Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) for gaining college credit.
