Philip Anderson almost lost his life on Jan. 6. as fellow Trump supporter Roseanne Boyland’s was being taken right next to him.
He recalls: “The police were pushing people on top of us for minutes and minutes. I’m at the bottom of this pile- yelling at the top of my lungs- ‘I’m dying, help! Help!’”
Police brutality did not halt. Excessive amounts of mace were sprayed on the protesters by Capitol Police. This drenched his clothes and skin.
Like many people, Phillip later saw Capitol Police’s actions characterized as heroic. But when he reviewed New York Times footage showing a clip of him in danger, he noticed the false narrative. As an eyewitness, he knew it wasn’t Trump supporters around him who committed violence -but Capitol Police.
Hear Phillip explain why the events on Jan 6th weren’t an insurrection and how mainstream media altered footage of the event:
Or, you can read his remarks here:
Philip Anderson: They cut it short. And they cut out the context. Like, they did that because that Capitol Police Officer had just murdered Roseanne Boyland and also nearly killed me in front of everyone there. But the reason why they cut it short because they don’t want to see an unconscious black man lying on the ground in the video. They don’t want to see Roseanne’s body lying on the ground to the right as well.
That’s because it would explain, ‘oh, so that’s why the Trump supporters are angry.’
No, they cut off all of the context. They just say, ‘oh, they’re just mad.’ And they told that lie that ‘oh, everybody’s just angry because Trump didn’t win the election.’ First off, when Obama won twice, we didn’t, we weren’t doing anything. We didn’t show up or do anything. Okay, that’s not the reason why people are mad.
We are mad because of the way you treat us for five years straight. How you ban us off every single platform and use the media to dogpile us and put a target on our backs. And how can’t walk into the movie theater, and we can’t turn on Netflex, Hulu, Disney Plus, or any of this stuff, without getting slapped in the face basically.
Philip was motivated to come to the Capitol because he was sick of cancel culture and censorship from Big Tech.
Amidst Capitol Police violence against Trump supporters, someone who stands out as a true hero to Philip. Jake Lang saw police macing, pushing, and using excessive force and yelled at the officers: “Stop! There’s people down there.”
Lang lifted Philip and others from the bottom of the pile so they could escape.
Watch Phillip Anderson’s rescue by Jake Lang HERE.
Though Lang and others saved downed and helpless Trump supporters, the police brutality persisted. Anderson recalls how individuals who attempted to render first aid to Roseanne Boyland were maced. The police did nothing to help her.
As this unfolded for over an hour, Anderson thinks the Capitol Police realized they would be held responsible for their actions. They pivoted and removed Roseanne Boyland from the scene, dragging her into an empty room by her legs. Roseanne Boyland had already passed away at this point.

Or, read Philip’s remarks below:
Philip Anderson: If it wasn’t for Jake Lang and a few of the other people-actually quite a few people-sitting in that DC jail, in that gulag right now, not only would I be dead for certain-absolutely I would be dead-there would be at least 4 or 5 other people. Maybe even more than that. But they were pulling people out.
They were telling them, they’re yelling and screaming at the police to stop. You know, and that’s the crazy thing. They yell at police over and over, “Stop!” with their hands up in the air.
Jake Lang had his hands up at the police, but they wouldn’t stop. What makes me the most angry, MSNBC had their people interview me, and they cherry picked what they said to me, and they tried to make it seem like people were just getting gassed-but the police were pushing people on top of us for minutes.
Anderson received a new beginning and was brought to safety. But Jake Lang was punished by the government. Lang faces charges for allegedly ‘assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers.’ He and 40 other men who defended the Trump supporters pushed into the pile of bodies remain imprisoned.
Listen as Philip Anderson thanks Jake Lang from prison in this interview.
When asked about how this experience has changed him, Philip says, “I see it all for what it really is.”
He thanks President Donald Trump for showing him false narratives and explaining how mainstream media, big tech, government, and higher education defend those narratives. This has created a sense of urgency for him to make a difference.
“You have to push the truth out, push it constantly every single day,” Anderson tells American Gulag.

Or, read his remarks below instead of listening:
Philip Anderson: You have to focus on the story of those people and you have to focus on the people who are actually part of the story and know them, and you have to focus on that and you have to actually amplify those voices.
There’s a lot of people on social media that I wish would talk more about this. You know, I talk as much as I can on Gab- I’m on Gab. I see something and talk about it there and it will go viral on Gab. There’s a lot of people-who see us talking about it on Twitter, The Gateway Pundit puts a story out about this or about me, and all of this. I’ll see people talk about it on Twitter. I hate using platforms like this, but with the platforms you are able to have, use them to put the truth out. So yeah, my advice is to get the truth out as much as possible. You have to push it constantly and talk about it every single day.
Because once of the biggest problems Trump supporters have is that they don’t stay on message. They don’t talk about things like this every single day. And it’s insane, because sometimes I’ll be searching Roseanne Boyland’s name on Twitter just to see how many people are talking about her. And sometimes, they’ll be some people saying something about it, if I get something to trend on Gab or Gateway Pundit puts the story out- but the rest of the right-wing media, they won’t talk about her. It’s ridiculous. They just won’t talk about her. And it’s really sad. If she’s a Democrat, all of the major news networks will talk about her. Because she’s a Republican, only Gateway Pundit will talk about her? It’s ridiculous.

Nick Mastrangelo: And I just want to start off by thanking you for taking the time out of your day to speak with us. I really appreciate it.
Philip Anderson: My pleasure.
Nick Mastrangelo: So I guess to start this off, if you wanted to just give us a little brief intro. I don’t want to get too much into the story but I know that you were in DC on Jan. 6th and you’ve lived this 2021 year so far after this event and experienced all this misuse of authority from the FBI to Capitol Police from Jan. 6th to present date even, and I just wanted to give you the floor to expand on that, and we can move forward from there.
Philip Anderson: Yeah, I feel like in every single possible way, when a Democrat gets power over other people, they will always abuse that power. For example, I’ve been banned off Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, GoFundMe, Air BNB, and Tiktok and I’ve done literally nothing wrong.
And it’s just-that’s how crazy it is. That’s all over politics. Over me having a free speech rally in San Francisco. And just because I got attacked by an Antifa guy who knocked out my front teeth, instead of those guys getting punished, I got the hand off everything-because politically it’s inconvenient for Joe Biden’s campaign.
And of course, with the FBI, they’re gonna be doing things politically as well. You saw how they went after Project Veritas. That was ridiculous. And with me, they put me on the no-fly list.
So I was getting the terrorist treatment in the airport. It was ridiculous. I couldn’t get on my flight. So I got in contact with the FBI through one of my contacts and they talked to FBI agents here in Texas and gave them my phone number. And 2 of those agents came to my house and talked to me.
They shook my hand and said ‘investigation over’ when I talked to them. I was like, ‘if you look at the video of the body cam on the police officer, you can look at the video at the Capitol from the security cameras. You’ll see that I broke no laws, I did nothing wrong, ok. And before I even try to do something bad, they killed Roseanne Boyland and they nearly killed me. So I didn’t even get the chance.’
So they were like, ‘ok, we’re going to take you off of the no-fly list and we’re gonna say, ‘investigation over.’ They shook my hand. They said ‘investigation over.’
But that was a lie. They went to my friends’ houses and they asked my friends about me. They went to and looked at Reddit and looked at these other social media platforms and even the ones I was banned from, looking at my records and stuff.
I got an email from Reddit about it, asking for all of the information on me and everything that was said. And I mean, everything was just a lie because they said ‘investigation over.’ I don’t trust those guys. I don’t trust them anymore at all.
Nick Mastrangelo: You and me both. It’s starting to feel that way. And I don’t know if you’ve actually heard of American Gulag, but I briefly mentioned earlier, we are trying to be an advocate for and get the story out for these political prisoners who are in these maximum-security prisons on non-violent, misdemeanor charges, who are actually being charged by the DOJ, and you don’t even come up in the DOJ website.
So, they’re not even charging you and they’re bringing you up into light, and thinking there’s a reason for that.
Philip Anderson: Yes, that’s the thing. Even during the impeachment hearing, when Eric Swalwell said look: ‘Here’s a Capitol Police officer getting attacked by a Trump supporter that’s lunging at him, that’s charging at him.’ They cut it short. And they cut out the context.
Like, he did that because that Capitol Police Officer had just murdered Roseanne Boyland and also nearly killed me in front of everyone there.
They just say, ‘oh, they’re just mad.’
And they told that lie that ‘oh, everybody’s just angry because Trump didn’t win the election.’
First off, when Obama won twice, we didn’t, we weren’t doing anything. We didn’t show up or do anything. Okay, that’s not the reason why people are mad.
We are mad because of the way you treat us for five years straight. How you ban us off every single platform and use the media to dogpile us and put a target on our backs. And how can’t walk into the movie theater, and we can’t turn on Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus, or any of this stuff, without getting slapped in the face basically.
It’s like we have 24/7 hands around our throats, choking us for being Republicans or conservatives. That’s not a fair election before we even go to vote. That’s no fair. When we can’t even send our kids to school without them being indoctrinated by some far leftist freak. That’s not fair. You call that a fair election, you call that a free country. That’s just bull****.
For five years straight, when Trump was running, and then when he got in, for the four years that he was in, it was not fair. You were treated as less than human if you were a Trump supporter.
So, when you rig the media against us, when you rig Hollywood against us, when you rig big tech against us, when you rig the schools against us, when you rig the universities against us, when you rig every institution against us, and then you look us in the face and you say ‘oh, by the way, the election wasn’t rigged against you,’ there’s no way we’re going to believe you.
It’s simple, we made it very clear. We want forensic audits. We don’t trust you, and then the left just says ‘nope. You have to put up with it. You have to take our word for it.’
No one’s taking your word for it. No one. After all of the lies you’ve told about us being white supremacists, and racist, and these dangerous extremists and terrorists when we’ve done literally nothing to you and you beat us up like bloody pulp in the streets, and beat our children in the streets, for five years straight. And you call us all of these names.
So of course, we don’t believe you about all of the lies when you say that Trump was colluding with Russia. Even with Nick Sandmann, try calling him a racist and he’s just standing there with a little smirk as someone beats a drum near his face.
Like, of course, people are mad. Especially when COVID-19 comes out of absolutely nowhere during an election year when everyone says ‘Trump is going to win. There’s no way you can change that.’ And BLM and Antifa and all of this BS with rioting comes out of nowhere. People now understand what this is. This was all done on purpose, this was all done by design. That’s why people got really mad. They just had to sit there and take it as they burned down everything and did all of these crazy things to us.
Nick Mastrangelo: Wow, yeah, and just to reiterate, you were quite literally in the middle of this skirmish, in this dogfight- and I don’t mean to be insensitive and bring up things that might, you know bring up some bad memories and bad thoughts, and interrupt me if I’m going down that path-but quite literally between these Capitol police officers and these Trump supporters, and you’re right-these little video clips that’s all you see, that’s all you hear about thousands of hours that are withheld from police body cams and security footage, and why do you think people- how do you think this perception is being deceived with Jan. 6th specifically?
Philip Anderson: What they did was used the media to push their version of it. And they hid the video of the main body of people-the bulk. We’re talking like 80% of the people who entered that Capitol went through a door that the police held open for them or just stood there as they walked right in, just slowly walking and they walk in between those tight ropes afterwards, those ropes. Even the media was talking about ‘hey, this hasn’t happened before.’
Yeah, they were walking slowly like they’re going through a museum or something. You call this an insurrection? That’s a joke.
Nick Mastrangelo: Right.
Philip Anderson: If it was an insurrection, first off, we would not be walking in there without hiding our faces like BLM and Antifa, because that’s what they do. It was not premeditated, it was not pre-planned or anything like this.
We had no idea that anything like that was going to happen first, off. We would have been ending a lot of- we would have killed all of the people in that building if that was an insurrection. They keep on using that word ‘insurrection,’ but that’s not what it is.
If you’re talking about taking over the government, yeah. If we were going to be using and doing that by force, then we would have to be like, ending people’s lives. So when they say that’s an ‘insurrection’ doesn’t make sense.
If anything, that’s what the left did after all of those 5 years when Trump was in office. Like how big tech conspired against Trump and used it against him. When Trump won in 2016-they literally said this-they said ‘we’re going to do things differently come 2020.’
That’s what they said. They literally said that. If that’s not conspiring against the president, what is? The media completely changed the way they did journalism, completely changed the way they reported on our president. Especially just for Trump. They were trying to take him down. That’s what they did.
And with BLM and Antifa, they were burning down America. For 5 months straight. Not a single Democrat politician condemns it. Not a single Democrat politician tells them to stop burning it down, to stop murdering people, to stop attacking police officers. Not even one. Because they all did it on purpose.
And they’re gonna say ‘oh, Jan 6th was worse than 9/11.’ What a joke. What a joke. It’s ridiculous.
They’re talking about how Trump didn’t respond for two hours. I’m like, first of all, that’s not true. Second of all, you went 5 months as your own country was getting burned down without saying a single word. Not a single word. As a matter of fact, you cheered for it. You literally cheered for it.
Nick Mastrangelo: Right, and even to expand off of that- as you mentioned earlier, you personally have been censored off of these social media platforms and, and really just experienced a level of bullying. And I just wanted to ask -how has this experience from Jan. 6th to present changed you as a person-your mindset?
Philip Anderson: Well, it’s changed me in the fact that because of the one biggest things I thank President Donald Trump for is how he opened my eyes. He opened my eyes to the way this country really is, with the media and big tech and all of this stuff that they do, you know, with the politicians. And now I see it all for how it really is.
That really opened my eyes to it. When all of these police officers are getting hailed as heroes, when they literally punch Victoria, this woman in the tunnel, they punched her in the face, over and over in the face. They maced her. They beat her with a club and with batons as well and called her a “******* *****” and they yelled at her face. Then they paraded her around the Capitol. And I’m just like, ‘these are who you’re calling heroes?’
And then when they did to Roseanne Boyland. You have to understand what these police officers did was each one of them put on a gas mask over their face. They gassed us, and they saw how people were running to get out of that tunnel as fast they could. That’s the reason why people fell down on top of one another. And people would have been easily able to get up and leave.
But then the police they have a gas mask on. They come in like little Stormtroopers. Like Nazis in Germany or something, putting on the gas mask, gassing people. They’re like-we’re like falling down. They can’t breathe, trying to crawl away, crawling over one another like a war team.
I’m at the bottom of the pile. And did these police officers let us get up and leave? No, they pulled out their batons and started beating people. They’re punching people. They’re macing people. They’re gassing more and more. And I’m just like ‘this is insane.’
But the media is never going to say this. If we’re all wearing BLM t-shirts, then they’ll definitely hear me saying what I’m saying. They’ll say a lot more than I’m saying, saying it’s the most terrible thing ever.
I don’t mind if you swing your fist or club as a police officer. But there are lots of people who are way in the back that aren’t doing anything. There’s people in the middle. There’s only a very few people in the front of the line of people that were actually doing things with the police. The rest of us, we never touched the police. Roseanne Boyland was so far back, she couldn’t even see the police.
So, to keep saying ‘Oh, she got what she deserved,’ What did she do? What did she do? She didn’t do anything. I didn’t do anything either.
I mean, I was close enough to see like the top of one policeman’s cap, but Roseanne was so far back she couldn’t see anything. So I just don’t get it? Like, what did she do? They’re just saying that because she walked in the tunnel, she deserved to die? Are you kidding me?
I promise you that this is not the logic they would use if that was Democrats in that tunnel. But with the Trump supporters, it doesn’t matter if they die. That’s why they lied about the cause of her death in the first place. They said it was a drug overdose. It wasn’t a drug overdose.
I was there, laying down right next to her, getting crushed to death, right next to her. All of the pain she was feeling, I was feeling. And that’s not something someone can survive.
She died, and I was barely able to survive myself but Jake pulled me out. But to be able to get out of that hellhole and then actually hear the media’s lie about it, and to lie to her own family. Literally, like calling up to the family members and going to their house and saying the police were trying to help Roseanne.
No, they didn’t. They actually killed Roseanne. Roseanne was-they said, oh it was because of the drugs or whatever. I saw Roseanne and she was fine-until you gassed her, then you crushed her, and then you beat her. If it wasn’t for you all, she would still be alive.
Nick Mastrangelo: And you mentioned a true hero, Jake Lang, that day. These mischaracterizations of police officers as heroes-Jake Lang actually rejected another plea deal because they’re still trying to go after him and lock him up. If you wanted to go and expand on the type of person Jake Lang is from that day, and what he’s going through right now, and how he’s being mischaracterized.
Philip Anderson: If it wasn’t for Jake Lang and a few of the other people-actually quite a few people-sitting in that DC jail, in that gulag right now, not only would I be dead for certain-absolutely I would be dead-there would be at least 4 or 5 other people dead.
I’m at the bottom of this pile, yelling “I’m getting crushed to death. Help! Help! Help!
You know, they used so much mace-they had no concern for my life or the lives of people down in that pile-my entire sweatshirt was soaked in mace-my underwear, t-shirt, face. They didn’t care there were people in the bottom of that pile getting crushed to death. I’m sure Roseanne had some of that on her as well.
And they’re not even aiming at me. I’m screaming at them to just stop and help, but they won’t help. He’s yelling at them, saying “There’s people down there. Stop!”
I’d really like to say, Jake Lang is a hero. He’s supposed to be released immediately. They say she died of an overdose, they made up some BS>And to expand on that, as an eyewitness there, as you see Jake’s charges of assaulting people officers- you were there. The intent of these individuals initially was not right off the bat was to hurt police-officers,
Of course not, they6 weren’t trying to hurt the police officers. From the very beginning, until that point, they were trying to get off of the police officers. You don’t see anyone beating on police officers like BLM would do, they’re yelling at the police, “Get back!”
I heard they pushed them back, the other Trump supporters had to push them back.
The police just maced them in the face. So the Trump supporters had to get a little physical, they can take push. They think a push is going to save someone’s life.
But because of the narrative, because they won’t show the video.
They’re giving CPR to Roseanne Boyland, because even though she’s dying, the police refused to help her.
The police, are like “Oh, no, we’re going to get blamed for this.”
It was ridiculous, like yeah. What do you think we can do to help Jake Lang and these others who are in prison and being mischaracterized?
Well, hopefully give a voice to people who know what’s going on with them. You have to focus on the story of those people and you have to focus on the people who are actually part of the story and know them, and you have to focus on that and you have to actually amplify those voices.
Because she’s a Republican, only Gateway Pundit will talk about her? It’s ridiculous.
Nick Mastrangelo: Philip, if there’s anything else you’d like to send our listeners off with, the floor is yours.
Philip Anderson: My message is this-you can’t depend on the leaders to tell you what to do, to tell you what to say. You have to use common sense and you have to listen to your fellow man-people like me, people like the voices here. Because they’ll never tell you to talk about the political prisoners or to talk about free speech. They’re never going to tell you about building a parallel economy so we can have our own movies, our own streaming services, our own banks, our own social media platforms.
It’s sad, but they’re more concerned with money, and the main people on our side who have a voice on like Twitter, Facebook, and things like that- who have those big followings-they’ll never going to tell you what to do. They’re going to tell you to buy their merchandise or subscribe to their podcasts, but that’s why we’re losing.
Technically, right now we’re winning, but in the long run we’re going to be losing because the Democrats continue to build stuff and continue to run everything.
We have to get back the cultural power we used to have and we do that through that through a lot of voices saying the same thing. You have to fight the system.
You can’t do that by following grifters who just tell you to buy merchandise. That’s the reason why no one’s going to protest for the Jan. 6th prisoners. Because none of the people on Conservative Inc are telling you to go protest for them.
That’s the reason why Donald Trump was banned on social media in the first place. It’s because no one ever told you to go protest against big tech, for your own free speech. And they’re getting banned, censored, demonetized, and shadow banned into oblivion when Donald Trump was president.
So you know, that’s my message.
Nick Mastrangelo: Right, it truly is a David and Goliath type of story with the machine that they’ve got. DOJ, the big tech, it really is.
Philip Anderson: It’s the same way with black people-when black people used to be really amazing during the civil rights movement. They used to be the number one people in my mind and now they are doing so great because they don’t have any leaders. They don’t have a bunch of Martin Luther Kings anymore.
