Halleluiah! Antiwar Obama Preaches on Scooter Libby & The Jena 6 Today at the Pulpit

What would your Sunday service be without a smackdown of Scooter Libby and praise for the Jena 6?
Could you even imagine if a Republican presidential candidate preached from the pulpit about such politically charged issues?

Remember: Barack Obama is a uniter not a divider.

Barak Obama preached on the unjustice of the Jena 6 and Scooter Libby today from the pulpit of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta.
Ben Smith at The Politico has the sermon:

We have a deficit in this country when there is Scooter Libby justice for some and Jena justice for others; when our children see nooses hanging from a schoolyard tree today, in the present, in the twenty-first century.

We have a deficit when homeless veterans sleep on the streets of our cities; when innocents are slaughtered in the deserts of Darfur; when young Americans serve tour after tour of duty in a war that should’ve never been authorized and never been waged.

On left, Bryant Purvis and Carwin Jones of The “Jena 6” have a cool time at the 2007 BET Awards where they were honored. On the right, the real victim in Jena, Justin Barker, suffers in the hospital after he was beaten unconscious on Dec. 4, 2006 in Jena, LA. Barker, who was cold-cocked unconscious, was treated and later released from the hospital.

Mychal Bell of the Jena 6 who coldcocked and beat a white kid unconscious was later charged with a misdemeanor.
Jena 6 justice.
